“Why is it that I can easily say yes to and keep my commitments to others yet when it comes to doing something good for myself or keeping a commitment to myself, I often fall short?” I have found that this mentality continually rings true for many of the women that I have had the pleasure of working with — it can be natural and easy to give out but when it comes to giving inward to ourselves we get stuck. It is often very difficult to even pause long enough to take note of what is going on much less know what or how to do things differently to keep ourselves healthy all around.

I deeply believe that quality of our inner health & peace is representative of quality of caring we can do for our family, children, friends and others. I also understand how difficult it can be to get our heads around the concept of self care, doing something for ourselves or taking time away from our responsibilities to nourish our souls. It can seem so big, uncomfortable and sometimes not even worth the effort. But how long can you give until the well runs dry? Or more common — how long can you keep trying to give from a dried up well only to find yourself more and more stressed, resentful, low energy, frustrated or unfulfilled? We have to keep filling up and nourishing ourselves to keep giving out to others. And, the joy that comes from giving from a well cared for self can be extremely rewarding, energizing and natural.

Do you want to work on…

  • Being more conscious of what you say yes and no to?
  • Incorporating more healthy choices into your life?
  • Connecting with what is true for you and cultivating a better trust in yourself?
  • Becoming more aware of your options and making choices that better align with what is important to you?
  • Listening more deeply to the messages from your body and learning to be more aware of negative thought patterns?
  • Reducing stress and being overwhelmed?
  • Understanding what being in and out of balance means for you and what shifts you need to make to stay more in balance more often?
  • Using more time and energy on the things that bring you joy and peace?

Life Coaching can help you create some space to pause and gain perspective on the quality of your life and develop some strategies for making some shifts that are more aligned with the life that you want and the person that you want to be. It can be messy work and also very refreshing to learn to give in a little so that you can give out a lot!

A little bit more about coaching:

  • Coaching is all about you and what YOU want to accomplish. We partner to create a safe and open space for you to better define this and navigate the changes and you are the captain of this journey. I am there to listen, ask tough questions, provide support and encouragement and if needed, advise, as you walk this journey.
  • For the coaching to be effective and long lasting, I ask that you be prepared for a minimum of a three month commitment.
  • The saying: “you get out of it what you put into it” is truly applicable in coaching work. It is important that you are prepared to take responsibility for your journey and ready to dedicate time and energy to moving yourself where you want to go.
  • Prior to our time together, I ask that you send me an update on progress since we last spoke as well as information about what you would like to focus on during our call; clients take ownership of our agenda for each session.
  • In between sessions, I can offer support through a “check in” coaching call or an email as needed to help you continue to navigate your path.

The MindSight Coaching approach is designed to bring deeper awareness to our bodies, our thought patterns and our behavior patterns. Using Body-Mind Life Coaching practices, we will talk, engage in awareness activities, do some journaling and continually connect to our breath to deepen our experience of our minds and our bodies.
